Hi everyone,
My HP Envy 5540 printer suddenly stopped printing. It powers on normally, shows no error messages, and the ink levels look fine, but nothing comes out when I send a print job. I’ve tried restarting the printer and reconnecting it to Wi-Fi, but no luck so far.

Has anyone faced this issue or found a quick fix? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try restarting the HP Envy 5540 printer and your computer, clear all pending print jobs, and make sure the printer is set as the default device. If it still doesn’t print, reinstall or update the printer driver.

You can also take the help of this video and follow the step-by-step fix shown in the Printer Tales YouTube video

Hi,

This can happen even when the printer shows no errors. Sometimes the issue is related to the print queue, driver, or communication between the printer and computer.

You can try these steps:
• Cancel all pending print jobs and clear the print queue
• Restart both your printer and computer
• Make sure the HP Envy 5540 is set as the default printer
• Check that the printer status is not set to "Offline" in printer settings
• If you're using WiFi, reconnect the printer to the network again

Also, try printing a test page directly. This helps confirm whether the printer itself is working or if the issue is coming from the computer or driver.

If the test page does not print, reinstalling or updating the printer driver can usually fix the problem.

Hope this helps.
