Hi,
I am working on an embedded platform where I have a USB host and would like to directly issue print jobs to a laser printer. I understand I need a printer that supports PCL or PostScript in order to do this 'Driver-less Printing'.
Samsung ML2850D seems to support my requirement but the website uses the term 'Emulation' to list down the print languages.
Does anyone know for sure if this printer has the PCL and PS interpreters built in its firmware? This model seems to have a 32MB built in memory which is sufficient for rendering a black and white image in case the print job is issued in vector form rather than raster form which is the case with GDI (aka Windows) printers.
