New cartridge is not working.

Printer tells me to replace the brand new black ink cartridge I just bought today. I removed it, turned printer off, then turned printer back on, and reinstalled the new cartridge. But it gives the same error message - to replace the #2 black ink cartridge. Epson Workforce 520
