New printer

I am wanting a new printer,
in the past ive had printers that use refill cartridges and some that don't.
and the heads have worn, so either it was uneconomical to replace or the part is no longer available.

So now, I want a printer that can use refill cartridges, no error banners on screen saying these is not genuine cartridges, so you can not use it.

i just want to refill and go. no chips, nothing!

If you want the easiest refill or compatible cartridge printers you'll ned to look towards Brother Laser Printers. The MFC-9970 is an absolutely great machine if you want color and the HL-2270DW is great for only black and white. Each uses an Optical Sensor so there isn't a chip on the cartridges.
