! not on printer pad

I have old C460FW colour laser printer. Upgraded my wifi and new password has ! which is not available on pad.
Tried * for network authentication but it does not show "!".
I can change password but then all devices which need to be changed (4 cellphones, 4 tvs, several wifi speakers, google assistant, ecobee thermostat etc.
Unbelievable that this should be a problem

Connected with USB so I could use my laptop keyboard. Nevertheless, ! is a common symbol & printer set up should be able to be done w/o need for laptop keyboard!
