I recently got 'shangaii'd into "volunteering" to help some folks with a question regarding this old Brother MFC-L2700DW that I gave them some time ago.. It is still working like a champ after several years of 'use and abuse' that my wife and I gave it prior to gifting it to the group, and they're now using it as a workgroup printer for 7 users on the same LAN. Earlier this week, they asked me a question I could not answer so was hoping others might know some more, "in-depth ' information regarding the "scan to PC" aspect on a Windows 11 LAN... All seven PCs have the latest version of the software and drivers which I downloaded from Brother Support earlier this past week and then helped them install and then configure the "Control Panel" for the correct application to use as a 'target app' when scanning to any of the PCs.. But I don't see a means to answer their collective question about finding a way to 'administer' the "sequence" of which PC is listed first, or second, or third, (etc) as the receiving PC to scan to... As I understand it, they all can receive a scan of any type over the LAN network, but they'd LIKE to have a particular scan type (IE: "scan to file" which creates a PDF) and have this then directed to the one PC which is responsible for this format, and they want this to be the very first option of choice when selecting the "target PC", with all others then listed after this.. Uh..IS it even possile to 're-arrange' this list of target PCs from the control panel on the printer or do these have to be connected to the printer sequentially and in their preferred order to achieve what they want? ❓ Ellephino... Cripes, I "retired" from this type of 'responsibility' over seven years ago, and NOT looking to "re-up" at the ageof 76... But I guess I can help out a little, anyway...
