Photo won't fit to paper

Hi I have a Cannon MG2200 and I wanted to print photo's of my computer.
I changed the size to 6 x 4 on the printer itself and also in settings and setting to gloss paper
I then proceeded to print and the image dosn't fit on the photo paper.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Please explain in very basic terms as have no idea what I am doing lol.
