Printer for cardstock

Hello
I need a printer for cardstock. Daily, the number of copies will be around 500 to 700
I need a laser printer
I have been told that laser printer is not very successful if huge number of papers are to be printed om daily basis because fuser gets hotter and the paper will start messing up with fuser
Please give the advice is it true for a shiny cardstock or not?
Inkjet printers are very slow and it is the main reason
