Printer recommendation: For painting onto printed image

Hi,

I could use some help with choosing a printer to purchase.
I would like an A3 laser printer (ideally scanner combined - wouldn't need to be an A3 scanner but smart stitch would be handy).
I intend to print A3 black and white hand drawn images onto watercolour paper and then paint (with watercolours) over the image. Obviously inkjet printers tend to run once the paper gets wet.
Unfortunately my budget isn't too flexible so I'd like to find something at a modest price or second-hand/refurbished.

Thanks,
Josh

You might consider an inkjet that uses pigment ink, like the Canon Pro-9500, Pro-10, or Pro-1. They can handle A3+ (13x19"). They don't have scanners.

I'm not particularly familiar with Epson, but they make quite a few pigment based printers.
