Scanner connection

I have windows 10 with an Epson SX435 wi-fi enabled printer/scanner. The printer works fine and recognises the PC but when I try to scan a doc it says 'no computer found' I accessed Epson scan settings which shows the correct IP address and recognises the printer but it still won't reciprocate from the scanner? Any thoughts as this is driving me crazy!
