I found the dead parts in it but good technical practice would be to test it before re installing it. Just for the information of others, this printer demonstrated unreliable power up a few times before the power supply died. It would require me to unplug it and leave it 15 minutes to cool the supply internally then it would power up for a short period. Unless you are an experienced technician do not mess with these switching supplies. Doing so is dangerous to personal safety and a possible fire risk.
