setting up scan for HP 1317

I dont have instruction and every time I want to scan a few pages I need to go through the process of setting up for each single page, how do I get a default so it scans a page and then requests to scan another as when I press finish it takes me back to start the process all over. Also how can I change the location to send scans where I want instead of the default folder.
Using win7 in case that influences anything.

Click start and go to the control panel. Go to devices and printers, maybe it will be called something else but it will be similar. Click on the HP printer and there you can go to printer preferences and I think you should be able to set any defaults here.
