Shared dlls Ricoh printer drivers

I recently added a Ricoh MP501 printer driver to our Windows 2008 print server. After doing this a bunch of our users were suddenly getting prompts to install drivers for a lot of the other printers. We traced it down to a shared dll file that was used by the other Ricoh printer drivers and was overwritten by the new driver.

This is the first time I had ever encountered this. It was a major headache to say the least. Has anyone else run across this and is there anyway to prevent it from happening in the future. I hope this posted in the correct thread.
