stylus photo 1280 issue

This printer have not been in use for a month or so...when I power up the green light flashes and carriage nudges just a bit it wont move out to do it's thing,, when I push the maintenance button while holding down power button the carriage will move to the end very slow and returns to cradle, It just does not want to print...I am open to any ideas to get this printer going..Thanks.
