The size of the print is wrong

I use PE9 and a pixma 4920 printer. Even though I specify 4" X 4" print, I get 4" X 3 and 3/4"
It's the same for other sizes too. Sometimes I get what I ask for and sometimes I don't.

Check the setting Killinchy. You might have press default tool settings and it's set at 4"x3".

My MP990 is older, but somewhat similar to your iP4920. I'm unfamiliar with the PE9.

My speculation is your issue could be related to the choice of borderless vs borders.

BTW, and really off the wall remark ... the iP4920 might be a candidate to be modified to allow use of much preferred CLI-8 cartridges with 40% more ink capacity, if you are interested in ink cart refilling.
