Using Scanner of SP4510 SF with OS X 10.12.2

Hi All: Will much appreciate any insight received! Very frustrated. Ricoh's literature says that the SP4510SF b/w MFC is MAC compatible, but it only has an OS X printer driver and the scan & facsimile elements don't work. Ricoh has been unhelpful, as has the seller (Adorama in NYC). Adobe also has nothing to say.

Does anyone have a solution, a work around, or a suggestion on how to proceed? Thanks, MAJ
