Won't print from photo tray

HP Photosmart c309

Printer refuses to print from the photo tray. Tries to pull paper from main tray and getting "out of paper" message.

I have told it to print from photo tray but still pulls from main tray.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Even tried printing from a laptop but same result.

Any ideas???????
