XP-300 Copies But Won't Print

I cannot print an ordinary text document from my computer. I know the computer and printer are communicating because I can control the printer from Windows, and because I have successfully scanned a document into the computer. I know it isn't an ink cartridge or nozzle problem because it makes color copies just fine. What else could be going on here?
