[QUOTE="agcook, post: 213741, member: 12561"] When printing photos, they are coming out with intermittent black ink streaking across the images. The streaks are in line with the print head direction. If you were to divide the photo into thirds perpendicular to the print head movement, the streaks are most prominent in the first and third sections - as if the print head strikes the paper as it approaches the paper to print on each pass. It is not on every pass and the beginning of the pass will be thick and clumpy and clears up as the print head drags across the paper. I didn't think the print head was supposed to touch the paper. There is some very slight cupping of the photo paper, and I do mean slight, but can that really be effecting the print head? This does not occur when printing text on plain white paper stock but after a particularly streaky photo, the next text printing will be smudgy until the print head has "rubbed" itself clean on the first couple of lines. Is there an easy way to access the print head FROM THE BOTTOM to clean it and ensure the surrounding bracket is clean of all ink residue build-up? Here are some examples...
