I bought this used Epson 1400 as parts on ebay thinking I could
fix it since the seller said it would power up and carriage will move from right to left. Make story short, the ink light comes on says install
cartridges, all colors shown with the X mark also low ink message comes on as well. Printer did come with ink carts but showed all of them empty. So I installed a new Cis like I did with some of my other printers but this time the printer is rejecting the installation, keep asking to install cartridges, Led ink light comes on stays solid as well the power light. Could this be a Firmware upgrade issue I hear so much about, or could it be a blown head,,, or ??
