Epson XP-247/Chromebook Printing Problems

Really weird scenario here. I bought a second hand Epson XP-247. Attached it to a Chromebook after hours of messing about. Sounds like it was printing but getting blank pages. Tried the copy function still getting blank pages. Stupid way of setting up via phone. Anyway tried cleaning nozzles, etc. gave up. Then tried printing from the phone, works perfectly both photos and text. Went back to Chromebook, still blank and copying from scanner same.

Have done a work round were i save to google cloud then print from phone but its for an old couple and too much faffing about for them

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, except binning the Chromebook! Typical Currys sales pitch!
