My XP-420 can do both Custom Sizes and Auto Fit for copies. Or rather, it's supposed to. Custom works fine-ish. But I cannot get it to copy a document to Auto Fit. It copies the actual size. I've had it work once or twice, but not anymore. I've uninstalled the printer, reset factory defaults, and tried every setting, but to no avail. Documents copy as actual size, unless I'm doing a Custom Size. But the Custom Size option doesn't fit the copy to the page, so it's not the option I want.
