only prints part of page Canon MP 270

I have a Canon Pixma MP 270 printer. It has recently developed a fault. When I try to print a document or e-mail, it prints a few lines then prints a few more lines on another sheet of paper. I does this until all the document is printed, over maybe 5 or 6 sheets. I have tried resetting the print spooler, but that doesn't cure it. Please, can anyone advise how to rectifythis fault? Thank you.

I have the same problem and would also love a solution.
