Hi, I have an Epson PP-50 combination DVD burner/printer. The Mac computer System Preferences -> Printer shows the PP-50 connected. If I remove the USB cable, it shows disconnected. Replacing the USB cable shows it is connected. Checking the levels utility, it shows "No Information." If I try to start the Epson Total Disc Utility, the response is "There is no information on the output device, so Total Disc Utility cannot be opened."
I only have one ink cartridge installed, that's all it came with. Before I purchase the expensive ink set, is there any reason why the computer sees the printer attached but the printer has no response?
The Epson disc burning software also does not see a disc burning device.
