OrCAD V4 won't print on my USB printer running under XP. It's basically a DOS program, so XP seems the end of the line for my OrCAD. There is a simple, elegant and FREE method to print an OrCAD schematic, so with a tip of the hat to Mark, WR7V, proceed as follows:
1. Access the PCLREADER site, download "PCL Reader V11.71" and install it.
2. From OrCAD select HARDCOPY and send it to an empty folder (you provide the path).
3. Exit OrCAD, start PCL Reader and select HARDCOPY.PRN as an input.
4. You can print the resulting schematic on any attached or network printer available to you.
5. As an extra added attraction, you may convert it to PCL format for easy e-mailing.
