A printer other than Canon

Can anyone a good all purpose printer/scanner for occasional use. I bought a Canon and it throws an error with virtually every sheet I try to print. Canon aren't interested so I need a brand with good customer service next time

As a printrer for general home use on a rare basis, the better has served me well. They are usually durable, simple to get running, and as already noted, their service, in my experience, is superior to what you have indicated.
