Alternative driver for HP MFP M28w?

Hi,

Might it be possible to find an alternative driver to use with my HP MFP M28w that could allow me to print better quality graphics? My HP 2100 and HP 6L both have extension options through the driver (CUPS+Gutenprint) that allow me a lot of control over the output and to print graphics that are smooth (not dotty) and smooth-edged on a micro level.
