Half cat is a feature that is designed to slice your individual prints whilst being held by the bottom part as a strip and usually that first half inch kind of works like a pull tab. The wasted space when printing a Singer character is kind of the same reason princess that have the half cut feature not hold a smaller print whilst cutting ( which is supposed to be the half inch at the beginning ) unfortunately there's no fix just make sure when you buy a different model that has a half cut feature [/QUOTE]
