Canon 800 Color issues - cant be just me!

Last year I upgraded my 750 to a 800. Big mistake, colors change dramatically in the middle of jobs, then slowly go back to correct color. Simply put I have to have my employees babysit every job coming off my 800 OR use my 750 dinosaur for printing. Contacted service and after 8 service calls they say calibrating once a week is not enuf that I should be calibrating at lease every day and before all long run jobs. Yeah we got time for this, never had to do it before! My neighbor which is another printer also has an 800 from another vender and is having the identical problem. Perhaps we should calibrate before every job! Yeah, that's the ticket. Sometimes I think Konica should have stayed in the house! Anyone else have this problem?
