Can't backup settings in BRAdmin or Mass Deployment Tool

We have several Brother MFC-J5855DW and MFC-J5845DW printers and none will allow me to use the "Back up settings" function from BRadmin or from the Mass Deployment Tool. That option is grayed out for all of my printers. All are connected via ethernet over several physical locations. Is there a trick to getting that feature to work? I would like to be able to backup a printer's settings and restore them to a new machine.

In case anyone finds this, Brother finally came back with an accurate answer. Only models with 512MB of memory support the settings backup function. The MFC-J5945DW printers that we have will work, but the MFC-J5855DW and MFC-J5845DW will not.
