I recently had an error come up on my Epson 7880 telling me to replace a compatible cartridge. It appears that the printer just stopped recognising it after about 4 years of use.
As this is the second time this has happened, I grabbed a spare compatible cartridge, and placing it into the printer, empty, I booted the printer to see if would accept the cartridge - this was successful.
After filling the new cartridge with ink and placing it in the printer, I booted it up again. This time the printer accepted the cartridge, but told me it was low in ink, and now won't print as it is looking for a full cartridge.
I have a chip resetter, and after using, it the result was the same.
My question is; does anyone know a work around or a method of resetting the ink info in the printer?
I could use another new cartridge, but don't want to waste the new one that i've put in there unless absolutely necessary.
Many thanks for any help received. : )
