My 1st message here...
Epson ET-5800 - USB - Windows 10 x64 (still)

Default behavior is that the display uselessly turns on at every scan or print.
I may set it to be turned on for -say- 1 minute, but I have not found a way to have the display turned always off.
So, as said, printing, scanning, it is uselessly turning On-Off, On-Off, On-Off...

What I did so far:
1. Display > Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Week from Sleep > Wake with LCD Touch > OFF
2. Display > Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Power Off settings :
Power off if Inactive: OFF
Power Off if Disconnected: ON
3. Display > Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Sleep timer set to 1 minute

My guess is that it is impossible to have display Off by default (ignoring printing / scanning), maybe I overlooking something?

Thanks!

Yeah, pretty sure that’s just how Epson set it up, the screen wakes anytime there’s activity. There’s no real way to keep it totally off during printing or scanning. You can only shorten the sleep timer like you did. Annoying, but normal behavior for that model.
