Epson px650 printer firmware downgrade

Hi all I'm new to the forum I have an epson px650 which doesn't recognise the cartridges I have done much research and am advised the only way to rectify this is to downgrade the firmware but finding the right firmware is proving to be difficult so dose anyone have any idea where I might look just to add i have tried all the recommended sites (wic)etc thanks for any help.
