Epson Stylus SX420W Printer

Hi I have a Epson Stylus SX420W printer , put in new cartridges, tried ink test also printed out a page, for the first time the ON button kept flashing when it would normally just stay green, took cartridges back out then put them back in, unplugged printer, printing but ON button still flashing, please advise, many thanks. elvisthepelvis.
