Do the Epson Workforce Pro firmware upgrades serve any purpose beside disabling "compatible" third-party cartridges?

what are you smoking you knoww damn well that is factual and going to cost them dearly company I am associated with already pullwd the plug, 12 printers scraped as well as the rest of their epson equipment also cancelled an order for 6 replacement printers
