Hi am having problems with the scanner in the XP-830 on Windows 11 Pro 24H2. Epson don't appear to have updated their scanner application for Windows 11. It is listed as version 4.0.2.0 dated 2015. It installs OK but when i try to use it to scan it says it cannot connect to the printer. It has always been set it in wireless mode. It is not a firewall issue as I can scan using Microsoft's own scanner. But that app is very primitive. You can't even rotate the scan to scan in landscape mode. The Epson scan utility was quite rich in functionality and was very handy for scanning multipaged manuals into one PDF file. My windows 10 box is still up and running and will be for another year and that still works pefectly with the Epson scanner app.
Has anyone made the Epson application work on Windows 11? I know i could rent VueScan for £65 per year but I really do not want to spend so much on what should just work anyway. Are there any free or more reasonably priced alternatives that allow multiple scans to be combined into one PDF file?
I guess I am OK until Windows 10 ESU runs out but I need a solution for after that
Thanks for any assistance
