Epson xp305 iprint

I have been having trouble with using the Epson Iprint app with my chromebook c910, I can print using google cloud when I want to without the app, however when I need to use the app to scan, the printer is not recognized because the printer IP address keeps changing, I get round this by uninstalling the app and then installing it back again, starting with select printer as it cant be found in the local network,only with manual IP setup with the new printer IP address that I get by printing off the status sheet. My motorola G phone using the same app finds the printer fine and can cope with the printer IP address changing. Is there something I can change on my chromebook or is there a way of stopping the printer from changing it's IP address often? Thanks in advance Kev.
