Epson XP830 Not Taking Epson Brand Ink Replacement

Hi,

I received a low ink warning on my XP-830 and replaced that cartridge with a brand new, sealed, Epson branded cartridge. I'm still getting the "You need to replace the ink cartridge, BK 410, 410XL" error. I've shutdown the printer, unplugged and let it sit then restarted. Same error. I've cleaned the connections at the cartridge and printer...same error.

I have not updated the firmware because I've read nothing but bad things about it.

Apparently this cartridge error has been around awhile, based on what I've read. Can anyone offer a solution to my issue?
