Epson ET-2650 printer. I have it connected wireless to my home network router. The printer is putting out it's own little wifi network which is offered to my iphone, for example, when searching for networks. I understand Epson calls this "WiFi Direct," and it's there to enable devices to connect to the printer directly, instead of connecting through the router. I want to turn this off! I have scoured the owner's manual, I have searched the web. Nobody will tell me how to do this. I don't want to turn wifi off altogether, and that is the closest I've found to what I'm looking for. I want my printer to continue to be connected wirelessly to my router, but stop putting out this phony baloney "network" of it's own, gumming up the 2.4GHz airwaves in my home office!
