I am currently looking into converting a HP 800ps 24" printer to dye sublimation. I have been searching a few different place to see if this can be done and I have found some mixed results. The basic concept I have found is to replace the cartridges with a continuous ink supply system and fill them sublimation inks- No problem right? Now for the logistics, the questions that have brought to my attention are: 1.) a HP print head will not allow the sublimation ink process to work. 2.) having a profile to adjust the settings.
I am doing this research for a research project at a university and at this point any information would be helpful on just wether it can be done or not.
