ImageCLASS D1650 - Not Printing Letter/Legal Mixed Sizes

I bought an additional tray for my imageCLASS d1650 so I could print both letter and legal without having to use the bypass. For some reason, i can print legal, and I can print letter, and the pages are sourced from the appropriate tray, but if I try to print a 10 page document that has a mix of letter and legal sized pages, it will only source from one tray (the one that matches the page size of the first page that’s being printed).

I have the box checked to source the paper based on the size of the page in the printing preferences. All of my drivers are up-to-date and were uninstalled and reinstalled. I have the added tray set to legal size in Remote UI. Geek Squad remote support couldn’t figure out the problem.

Any ideas why this might be happening and how I can fix the issue?
