My Brother MFC-7362N printer is showing error code 'Parameter Init' flashing along with 'Please Wait' and beeping. The fax light is also flashing and the the scanner belt is jumping about 5mm with every beep. The scanner bar is hard over to the right, is it jammed ? I thought it was supposed to be over to the left. I have tried totally disconnecting the power and reconnecting with the menu button down and hitting 99 but no joy and no reaction from the buttons and none of the buttons seem to be stuck and no sign of any jams or bits of debris. I also tried praying and asking God why after about 3 years every printer I have ever had no matter what brand seems to suffer a similar fate. Is this just the nature of the beast ? has anybody got any ideas or is this printer due for the recycle bin along with the other dozen I have thrown out.
