PCL5 page count from PCL5 file

For a specific industrial application we have to use a laser printer 50A3 from the brand Microplex (we can stop / start print jobs via Input-Output signals).

We have to send PCL5 files directly to it from the driver. We need to know the number of pages from the PCL5 file.

How can we determine with a Java application the number of pages?
