Printer will not print on ink jet paper.

I have an Epson Premium Expression XP6105 printer which normally works well but all off a sudden it will not print on glossy inkjet paper. It will however print on plain paper. I can hear the printer trying to print and it makes a lot of noise and then tells me on the display that there is no paper in the tray. I am setting the printer for the required paper. Does any one have a solution I can apply please?
