Printing on spiral notebook with holes - home laser printer

Hello,

I want to make a cute design for a notebook as a gift. I want to print on the pages themselves (this is the kind spiral that you can carefully take of page by page without ripping, and then put them back inside again). I never had to print on something with holes on top of the paper - can I print on it, or will little pieces of paper will tear and stuck inside?
