Hello all,
I have a used Ricoh 820/821 printer. Worked fine til last week when I ran out of toner on a large printing project - all colors - so I replaced the cartridges. All is good except that the printer is not recognizing the Yellow toner cart. I've tried 3 different ones with the same results. I turn it on and it says it is loading toner, but still comes up that the yellow toner is empty.
Short of calling the expensive repair service from 75 miles away, could there be any user serviceable actions I could take? Could a drum replacement help? Had a computer tech friend stop by to look today - he's not sure, but suggested either the drum or a sensor. Any suggestions?
