Scanner for ECOSYS M6635cidn suddenly stopped working

Hi there, anyone know what is going on? Scanner has worked flawlessly since installation 2-3 years ago. Suddenly, an error (without any further notification) pops up, see picture. Operating Windows 10, the printer works fine (all is USB connected between PC and printer-center). Thanks in advance for any assistance.
