Why isn't my HP Envy 4500 series printer working? It is able to print an alignment page. It has fresh ink. When I try to print something from the computer, in the options of where to send a file to, it has the option to make a PDF and the option to send it to my printer appears there. Yet, it does not print, Could it be that the wire connection from the computer to the printer is the issue? Could it be that the wireless connection from the computer to the printer is not working? I downloaded a program from HP that was supposed to diagnose the issue but it seemed to run and then stop without producing any useful results.

I have just started working on this issue and the first step HP advises me is to restart everything.

There will be more to add as I continue my investigation.
