I installed a canon MF4150 laser multifunction today on each of my Windows 7laptops and set up printer sharing in my homegroup.
Each laptop recognises the shared printer, but it only shows up as Canon MF4150 (Fax).
Right-clicking on the printer in Printers and Devices shows that it is broken down into two different devices, the printer and fax (i.e. I can access properties for either or set either as default).
I have tried unsharing the fax in its properties section but this still causes the shared printer to be Canon MF4150 (Fax), even after removing the devices, disabling printer sharing and setting it all up again.
Can anyone suggest something I can do to fix this? I don't use fax functionality so would even be willing to lose that to get my printer shared properly.
