Ink Showing Low when new.

I exchanged a faulty canon printer for a new TS3355, using same ink as previous one (546 &545). Set up yesterday with original inks, colour was showing half and black full as it was a new cartridge. Today Colour ink still ok but black ink showing extremely low even though i've only pointed a few test sheets???
